Need help identifying this cap

I work at Goodwill and somebody came and donated this. Can anyone tell me if this is authentic or a really good replica? And what does the inside say? It's tough to make out what it says and I'm nowhere near good enough at Russian to read it. Thanks

1985 Kiev USSR, Air defense department, looks authentic

 

Made in Kyiv, Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic, in 1985.
It's a police (militsia) cap.

It's authentic, they were rather common.
Air force caps had blue insert where this one has red

 

That symbol inside the hat look like is airplane symbol, or some Air Force rocket. What is the word before word United/obyedinennyy?

 

That's the brand logo of the factory of caps
