    Hi,
I recently inherited a chair from my grandfather.
I know the chair is at least 60 years old, but not sure if it's older.
The chair got restored a couple of times, and not in a very delicate matter.
The chair had a full logo of what looks like a deer inside a half circle:
here is a close up of the handles:

When I opened the bottom of the chair, there was what looked like hay coming out of it: My guess from the look of it is that the original fabric was layered over by a new fabric by the restorer: also the original fabric looks quite strange...

Another thing is, on the front of the chair there was a sign that disappeared:
Don't know what was there, maybe a trademark?

If you can detect any information about this chair I would by very thankful, (century, origin country, etc...)

    Other photos:
If you need more info let me know please!

The missing piece would more likely have been a carved quatrefoil. "Signs" or other branding would more likely have been placed on the underside of the chair.

    Thank you Debora!
Should I look around the springs for marks? what would they look like? I don't want to tear the fabric holding them too much.

Would think about 1890. Probably part of a parlor set.
