Need Help Identifying

    I bought this at a auction the other day and was hoping that some here could tell me more about her. I believe that there may have been another piece that went on the top of her head that would have been held in place by the square peg. Possibly a vessel of some kind? The single mounting surface/hole at her feet was meant to angle her away slightly from whatever she was originally intended to mount on. She also stands about 16 inches tall.

    She is lovely. She looks like antique Indian folk art to me.
