    Can anyone help me differentiate if this is a salesman sample or toy and what the approx value might be worth?

    Welcome, steelsails! Dimensions would help, but my gut reaction is dollhouse furniture. An actual salesman's sample is a rare beast indeed, at least for furniture of this style. Looks like the backs are plywood, which would also not bode well for a sample. In addition. the carving of the top piece on the smaller one is very crude - no respectable joiner would have sent that out as a sample of his work.

    Think these are imported miniatures without much age to them. As such, I think value would be pretty minimal.
