Featured Need Help to ID secretary desk and record player -

    Could anyone help me ID this secretary desk and record player I recovered from my grandmother's estate? And possible worth? I know they are both pretty beat up it seems. We plan on getting rid of them because they are just sitting around at no use to us. Thank you to all who may help!

    No stickers or marks anywhere?
    Usually these had a good label somewhere.

    I don't see the back at all.
    This probably has tubes. Often that info is printed on the panel, usually Masonite, that covers them and has holes to allow some cooling for them.
    If there isn't any on it perhaps it's on backwards.

    Victrola? Oak. Need to see what is under the lid. Should be a maker and model number. Looks like the front grill is missing. Likely early 20th century. Secretary looks to be 1940s mahogany.

    I have the same secretary. Got it free. That style of furniture is just not selling around here in Eastern Mass. I agree it's circa 1940s.

    As Brad said, the front grill is missing and would have looked something like this:

    That's what I did for one of mine.......the other holds a CD & Tape Player with a receiver. CD storage in the top. fortunately it has a remote, becvause I would NEVER be able to crouch down to see inside any longer.........
