I got this statue at a auction last year. It was a solid marble base and is bronze. I believe it to be Greek and from the 19th century because it had a matching Hermes statue from that era that I wasn't able to get. Does anyone have any idea who the lady is and how much it might be worth? Thanks!

CJ, this is definitely not my area of expertise! I have gone ahead & resized your images so that others (who will undoubtedly know more than I) can see them better. Next to yours, I've posted the only "similar" sculpture I found in a brief search online. Description of THAT one is down below the photos.

Yours at left; similar pose at right

The "similar pose" one was found here:

    and described as:
#61. Gilt Bronze Statue of Nude Woman with Sash
arm raised holding prized pearl, the other hand holding a shell, standing on the crest of a wave, attached to a black marble base

    Hello and welcome Cj.
I would say a nude woman with a shell, pearl, and on the crest of a wave is Aphrodite/Venus, just after she was born from sea foam. The name Aphrodite is derived from aphros, which means foam.
