If anyone can help with this it is appreciated. Stilt marks are on the inside of the bowl suggesting being fired upside down also a slight waviness to rim maybe hand formed. @ascot the glazing the firing upside down resembles tortoiseshell glazed bowls but lighter. Different glazing than yellow-ware

I am too. The clay and the colour of the glaze on the base are Western.
    It is very nice.

I don't know much about yellow ware, you'd have to ask one of the pottery specialists of the forum. I suspect the stilt marks are the result of stacking, not of being fired upside down.

@Any Jewelry stacking would show stilt marks on bottom and on the top right? Unless I got lucky and got the top bowl

This is from the book Collector's Guide to Yellow Ware Book 1 by McAllister & Michel on firing.

Yellow ware is so called because of the color of the clay with various types of glaze applied often with the yellow clay showing through.

@say_it_slowly thanks......so stilt marks wouldn’t be on the bottom and the inside. When staking

I went and looked at some yellow ware I have.

The mixing bowl in the back with stripe has so much wear on the interior that while there appear to be stilt marks there is enough other wear I'd not guarantee it, there are stilt marks on the base.

The chamber pot in front of it with stripe clearly has stilt mark on the interior but are less obvious on the base though seem to be there.

    Don't know if that helped.

Thank you @say_it_slowly i know there are not stilt marks on the bottom of mine just inside. Would you say mine is yellow ware? I think the glazing looks a little different from what I have went through but who knows lol
