The colors seem bright for Native American although I did see some brightly colored ones. It is 77 inches in length and 37 inches in width. It is wool

Try polychrome stripe Rio Grande blanket.

A lot comes up, but might take time to find finished like yours - turned and hemmed, no center seam.

    Nice blanket!

Thank you for the help. I also noticed that only the bottom row is a different color pattern

All I can definitely say, is that it is not Native American. The way it is woven, with the thick edge warp thread, rules that out, as is the fact that it has a stitched hem.

I would suspect a Mexican origin. Possibly Rio Grande, but despite the numerous on line claims, Rio Grande blankets are not "Pueblo" or "Native American," they are Hispanic, woven on horizontal treadle floor looms, by the early Spanish colonial settlers in the Southwest.

Before the Industrial Revolution made metal reeds available, the handmade wooden reeds limited the width of the weaving, resulting in the center seams found on earlier Rio Grande blankets.

Yes, thanks @Taupou - they do say Hispanic, not NA... :)

How old do you think it might be? It is absolutely gorgeous.

I think I did OK on this :)

    Textiles can be tough, no?

    Thanks, @Taupou!
