    Its definitely Korean. I can't read it myself, but I'm pretty sure its upside down. My sister who is studying Korean had a look at it and she can't seem to make sense of it. She's made out 맞안츰 or possibly 맞안츰겅, neither of which make much sense. I've put it through several translators and they all say somewhere along the lines of 'Right', 'right now', and 'right now and no (way)'.

    The only one that came up different put it as 'Fit in second milk Thistle' if that is any help to anyone. :hilarious:

    Not sure why this post didn't go through earlier, I wrote this on Friday morning. Anyway, posting again now....

    The writing along the top of the outside top of the circle is Koren

    The top two large characters are Chinese
    票 & ?

    The lower four large characters are Korean
    Koren is written and read from left to right in horizontal rows.
    Therefore, the four main Korean words there are 맞안 and 즘성
    맞안 = Right
    츰강 = Songjiang (a suburban district of Shanghai)

    and the characters at the bottom outside of the circle are Chinese.
    Chinese is written and read from left to right, top to bottom.

    ? 業ㄎ器鍮拱幷
    or possibly ? 業子器鍮拱幷
    As for the meaning of the Chinese, I can tell you this much, I am almost certain I have at least some of the characters incorrect, the question marks, I can't even guess at. Realistically, a better, closer, sharper focused photo is required.

    regrettably, when the base was cleaned it appears to have been cleaned a little zealously, as the tops of the characters and the bottom left character have been destroyed somewhat.
