    Hi,
I am stumped as to how to describe this piece - all I can come up with is diamond grid with controlled bubbles.
    Any thoughts or ideas appreciated.
    thanks for looking DSC07385.jpg DSC07384.jpg

You find the absolutely most wonderful pieces!!!:happy::happy:

I want to come up there & go shopping with you for about a month. ;):p:D:D

Alas I know it wouldn't work out as we would probably end up lunging for the same items every time. :arghh::arghh::arghh:

I wonder if "latticework" would be a good descriptor/keyword for those not familiar with the term "reticello"?

Thank-you Peggy - some days I get lucky:)
lol, when my friend and I go together we always go in opposite directions so that doesn't happen.
good point TDC, might be best to use both terms.:)

Any idea of the maker? I know Murano produced some of these pieces. Found this snooping around on the internet.
    Reticello
Reticello is one of the most time consuming and technical of Venetian color techniques. To create the reticello pattern, two twisted cane cups are fused together. The cups must be twisted in opposite directions, and the low spots between the canes act to trap air, creating the little air bubbles inside each diamond.

Darn, Youtube video didn't paste. Anyhoo - search "Youtube Reticello glass making" - plenty of cool videos on the procedure.

Thanks Rayo! lol, youtube is another rabbit hole I can disappear down for hours. I did see a couple of videos on Reticello, quite amazing how they do this.
Here is one where James Mongrain makes a dragon, he makes it seem so easy

@Rayo56 They're all there for me too and I'm on WIN7. Could be you need to update Adobe Flash. I ran into a problem with Youtube a while back and updating Flash fixed it.
