A picture of both the mark and one of the whole pitcher are probably needed, Bobby.

Thanks for the pictures, but now I have to ask - How can that be the bottom of a "pitcher?" Looks like a low "dish." Can we see it?

It is a pitcher it reminds me of the ironstones that sit in the wash basins. I'm at work and I can't get a picture. I'm gonna say it's about 10"-12" tall with handle and light floral pattern.

DeBolt's American Pottery Marks says this c.1900 mark possibly belonged to Dresden Pottery Co. of East Liverpool, OH. Possibly.

Hi Bobby - Welcome! Did you see Janet's post above? I think you are correct and that the pitcher sat in a bowl. It may even have been part of a wash set. These sets were turned out by pottery companies in the US and Europe by the tens of thousands. Records were not always kept or were lost so some pieces will always remain a mystery. I think DeBolt suggests Dresden Pottery Works based on the shape of the banner. I'm afraid that may be the most info anyone has at this point.

Sorry, I should have added that Imperial is the name of the pattern. Manufacturers tried to distinguish their products by coming up with names they hoped denoted luxury. Back around 1900 no one thought these pieces would ever be collectible.

Nice....that's what I had confused I guess I thought it was a name for the company. I'm teaching my self slowly but surely. Thank you
