If anyone can help with information on this piece it is appreciated. I’m not sure if that is a signature on the bottom or not. It also has teal blue coming threw in a couple tiny areas. Very odd pot indeed. I'm sorry I can't help you with an ID, but this will bump you up to maybe get our pottery people to see it.
In my opinion, I don't think it is a signature on the bottom. I wonder if it might actually be stoneware. or even Stone!

Crim.....It's in the right section.....I just think that nobody really knows about it. It is just that unusual.......I'll tag some of our pottery people in case they missed this.... @say_it_slowly @i need help @Ownedbybear @Debora ....Maybe they can offer help or tag somebody they think can.

Wondering if (looking through the felt pads) that is a mark being hidden? Maybe a large A?

Flattered to be included in such an illustrious group but I don't have any special pottery knowledge. (Unless, of course, a piece is maked "Made in..." and then I'm always happy to jump in and identify origin!)

No markings under the pads.......Asian raku fired glazed pottery possibly wheel turned not positive on that though.....the glaze seems to have something in it

To me it appears to be a raku fired piece that did not have a complete finishing process to remove the excess carbon soot, etc, that would make it less flaky and jagged. The "turquoise" crystals are usually the product of copper within the clay. It seems charred almost. I am not sure you would find a signature (if there is one) without trying to clean it a little. If you like it the way it is, then do not mess with it. That is all I know.

Thank you for the reply I’ve sent emails and everything it is like pulling teeth to get a answer.......something tells me it is a very old piece just my gut feeling on it. In my passed experience when everything falls silent it is usually a good sign lol

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Wishing you best of luck with identification, @Crim000 -- I love your comment "when everything falls silent it is usually a good sign." :)
