    Would Blackburn be in Scotland...or Ireland?

    I think Blackburn in Lancashire, England, where Grant had their first export office. Grant distillery is the maker of Glenfiddich Whisky.

    Flagon is the correct term. Late nineteenth. Many were made in London, too, as we're on fat yellow clay here. Salt glazed stoneware. This is how whisky was shipped to pubs.
