Maybe with a little more light for contrast?

Sometimes it's easier to read the signature if you remove all the conflicting colors. Didn't help me in this case, but maybe it'll help someone else(?)

Is this an open frame or is there a backing behind the backside of canvas? A lot of artists will write more on the backsides of the canvas...
