    Hello
Bought this mini medal today and a bit confused.
I know it is not original because of the size. However it doesn't look like replica either. Too old to be one. So what is it? There is some marks by the clasp I think maybe jeweler name.
The only think that comes to mind is maybe original owner wanted smaller version to wear.

Its a miniature medal with bars or clasps.

The recipient was awarded full size medals and had miniatures added for dress wear.

They were worn on dinner jackets and formal wear, not uniform.

Thanks much for the info. One more question if you don't mind. Is it actually worth anything from collectors stand point?
