Box lot find, didn't realize it was neodymium (bluer in person than first 2 pics show) until I moved it from one room to another with different lighting. It has frit around the lower half of the exterior. Clear polished pontil with initials PP. Any idea who made it?

    Thanks much!

Yes, it's alexandrite. The bowl is a lot more very pale blue in natural light.

    GaleriaGila Hola, y'all!

I admire it. I think Bdigger knows a lot about Alexandrite GlasS.

    Calling Dr. Bdigger!

Sorry I don't know the maker. I have seen this dish unsigned without the Frit.

Now that I have had some coffee....let me add some more info. I suspect this dish is a newer piece out of the Czech Republic. They are producing a lot of new Alexandrite. The PP signature I have never seen, but I believe one of the czech makers has these initials, but he usually signs in script. Sorry I can't remember his name.

To add to what Bdigger said, Ive seen Czech glass in Home Goods that is acid etched marked, some of it quite lovely (like this bowl) . i bought a paperweight signed by a Jablonsky from a shop, only to discover later a whole shelf of them at Home Goods !
