New China Fake Marks for Japanese Porcelain, Nippon

It is hard to believe there is enough money in faking Nippon marks but obviously I'm wrong. Thought you might find this link interesting.

This subject came up here a while back. It was a piece with the maple leaf mark, but with careful measurement, it was determined to be an authentic Nippon period mark. Recognizing the difference between a quarter-inch leaf and a half-inch leaf is tough if you don't have a tape measure at hand. Even when something is cheaply priced you don't want to get stuck with a 20 yr old piece that you bought because you thought it was 100 yr old.
