I may have asked for help on this before & if so I apologize! This has been sitting in a corner forgotten until I found the New Guinea shield I posted a few days ago and then suddenly I noticed it again!.
    Is this from New Guinea?
    What is it??!
    Thanks

Looks like a totem pole..Not sure as to the origin or authenticity (looks very basic and made for decoration and display to me) The other more knowledgeable members will know better.

Some would say that the term totem pole really only applies to Northwest Coast Native items; and this isn't NW Coast Native.
Whether it might be something from somewhere else, that might be called a totem pole, I can't say.
