Hi y'all! My name is Whitney, so glad I found this forum with such a wealth of information and helpful people! My husband and I flip homes, and sadly, a lot of families leave many many things behind. Unfortunately, I do not know a lot about antiques, or vintage items. We come across many unique, or old items, but of course that doesn't mean much if I don't know if it's a junk item or something someone may be seeking out. I look forward to learning from y'all and hopefully keeping some great items from getting trashed. Headed to a house now where the children left almost all of their parents possessions behind, from noritake glassware right down to their wedding pictures.

It's so much fun! Would be a lot more fun if I had a clue what I was doing! Trying to upload some pictures, but it just keeps showing the loading symbol but isn't uploading. I'm about as tech savvy as I am an antique expert

And it is very sad at times, it's crossed my mind to start hoarding pictures of strangers because it's so sad to see someone's memories just thrown away...

And the pics are just from my iPhone!

 

Ah. Phone pictures can be a problem. You aren't alone in that. You probably need to email them to yourself, resize (Maximum size to attach/load in a thread is 1MB) and then upload from your computer (via Upload a File button.)

 

Ah ok! I'm heading in real quick to the house to salvage what I can before demo starts! Will try and upload pics in a couple of hours! Thank you all again for your help and welcomes to the board, I hope to get to know you all more!!

Sorry I haven't got a chance to post more pictures, I managed to forget my password and lock myself out of account when I had a moment to get in front of my PCMy most interesting piece found is some sort of frishmuth replica, it's massive, not sure if it's real bronze, or anything, but I love it and it now sits in my home! I attempted to have two appraisers look at it, and they basically told me they had no idea, from reputable auction houses in Dallas
.

 

Welcome Whitney - would be better to post your pics in the appropriate forums, where they would get more attention.

I use a very simple app called Photo Resizer HD to get pics from my phone cropped and resized (use Snapseed to edit, but it doesn't resize)...
