New Home 'Little Worker' 1/2-sized V.S. Sewing Machine (Ca. 1915)

    An impulse-buy at the flea-market. Early 20th century half-sized lockstitch sewing machine operating using the vibrating-shuttle (VS) mechanism.

    Getting this to work was a real investigation. I ripped the thing to pieces to clean it and re-oil it, and then spent ages trying to get it sewing. I finally figured out what the fault was. While it WILL sew with regular machine-needles, it actually needs some which are slightly longer. Gonna visit the sewing-shop tomorrow and see what they can supply me with.
