I just purchased this Japanese painting. It is one of my favorites and I would love some information or comments. I always appreciate the information. Thanks!!

Looks more like a Japanese block print or a copy of one. Thought it might be one of the courtesan portraits by Utamaro Kitagawa but can't find it. There are also some stylistic differences so probably not his. I don't read Japanese so the signature might as well be Greek to me ;)

She is lovely. She doesn't look like an Utamaro, but I agree, woodblock print. Not in the old Ukiyo-e style, but a development from that style.

Someone was kind enough to translate the artist name for me and this is what they said "work is signed 青風 Seihū, the red seal reading the same." I haven't had any luck finding an artist with that name, but I will keep looking.

    Try Matsuda Seifū.

I think you are right. It looks like his signature. Thanks a lot!
