    Hello Everyone,
New to Antiquers here. I am 53 years old and live in Central Arkansas. I have been going to flea markets and estate sales for over 20 years. I have a appreciation for well made items of the past…. A far cry from what is available today. Anyway, I recently found a chair made by Milwaukee chair co. Pat. Oct. 20, 1914. If anyone has information on this model ( year made/ value) I would love to here about it. Thank y’all

Your photo is very tiny! I have turned it & brightened it a bit and posted it full size.

With the casters on the feet and the adjustable back, I believe it's an office chair, for a secretary. Is that an adjustment lever for the seat too?

Yes. It has cast iron supports under and swivels. Also has an adjustment to go up and down. Stamped on cast iron “ Milwaukee chair company pat. Oct. 20, 1914. Flea market find for $30.00. I just love it.

Can you give another view of the chair back? It doesn’t look slatted, is it?

I’m only see two that are close, but not a match. One reads Bankers chair. The other is Railroad chair. The railroad one might go for a higher price.
Will attach the two listings momentarily.

It is indeed a rather nice office chair from some time between the patent date and, say, WWII. Not especially rare but somewhat unusual mechanism. The railroad connection would have to be documented somehow to make the difference for the specialized collector. Great find no matter what!

Thanks. It is over built compared to today’s standards.
