New To Site! Wanting Help on Identifying an Old Keyed Sideboard Cabinet Please! :)

Hi there! I just acquired a nice little sideboard cabinet from my in-laws. My mother-in-law bought it from an antique store in the late 1980's...... Just curious if anyone can help me with identifying this piece... Maker, era, etc..... The only markings I could find on it is a stamped number on the upper back side. Number is, 2009. No paper tags or anything else I could see. It is a keyed cabinet ~ Coming with the skeleton key. Any information / help would be much appreciated! TIA

 

I believe this little sideboard is called a linen press.
One would have kept table linens in it.

Don't know if it is American or English.
I would guess it to be about 1930s.
Veneered. Walnut?

Veneered ~ Or at least it is on top as some of it has chipped away. Also, that back little lip piece comes off as it is set in there with mini dowel rods. Not sure if it is American or English. She bought it in an antique store in Texas..... Not that that necessarily means anything! lol

 

Very nice!!! Can't add anything to it though.....except that I could've used it at one time!!!
