New to the Forum

    Hello!

    My name is Shel. I'm a New Englander who's recently purchased an older home that has made me interested in antique décor. I'm particularly interested in nautical antiques, but I'm a full-on novice. I just know when I like the way something looks, and I like when things look old. I'll probably lurk around since I don't have much to add, but I'll enjoy the forum either way.

    Welcome, Shel. Many, if not most, become active participants here because they have a question about an item they think we might be able to answer, so not bad form to start off with a question. All sorts of items appear here; you never know when there will be something you remember your grandmother having, that sort of thing, and you will have something to contribute we would not have known otherwise. :happy:

    I'm in New England, too, in Massachusetts. There are other New Englanders here as well.

    Welcome, Shel! I, too, am from New England - originally from Connecticut, went to school in Massachusetts, and now live in New Hampshire!
