Man finds hundreds of rare vintage baseball cards in deceased father’s closet (msn.com)

Very impressive hoard of early 1920's tobacco baseball cards which is apparently valued at high six figures. According to the article the family kept everything, I have found those are the estate auctions to attend since they have lots of vintage goodies that would have been otherwise discarded.

Yep, that's the kind of estate I like too. Where they kept everything for a hundred years!

What a find. Looked like the colors of the cards were so preserved. Must be exciting to the baseball card collecting world.

Blessings on those families! Why can't we be related to the ones that kept all of the mint condition pre-WWII sports cards and art deco platinum jewelry?

 

My family put all of their platinum deco jewelry in their bike spokes. They melted down the baseball cards in the 80’s to pay property taxes on the shore houses.

 

I want to see those bikes !!!
