    Hello friends!
Had a good weekend, got loads of shiny and nice stuff...as always bit clueless on some!
This is about half of what I brought home.

I thought this was a Ruskin-type box but it's plastic
The outside feels like a thin metal but the box inside is definitely plastic,it has some writing on the inside
It's about three and a half inches across and one and a half down.
    The jewel thing is glass

This is a weird button, it's sometimes blue and sometimes black

Are these modern buttons, please? I didn't get them together, different booties but same day
They are an inch across, one at last I think is silver

Blue button is probably dichroic glass. Edwardian.

The silvery ones look 1950s, I'd say pewter or pot metal.

Box writing is back to front. ;)

    Some buckles!
One pair is MUCH sparklier than the other

Silver fork! Bit battered but IDC!
There is a teeny hallmark on there just impossible to see

I mean to ask why it's backwards, the whole thing is weird!
The one button I think is silver around the edge, feels and smell like silver, do you think that is possible Mrs. B? xx
    Thank you x x x

It could have a silver rim, true.

Glass thing is an eyebath I reckon. Black buttons probably Victorian jet. Shoe buckles may be as early as Georgian. Steel with paste, very nice.

    Thank you my lovely!
Eye bath didn't even cross my mind! xx

Pity a lot of the paste is missing, do you know why one pair would be much shinier (reflects more colours I think I mean) than the other? x xx

I just had a quick look, most of the eye baths I saw had a sort of lower edge? BUT it was a very quick look.
This one is the same all around ,all the edges are even?xx

Those shoe buckles are gorgeous, Bou.:)
The Mercedes pin is indeed Mercedes.
The black bead thingies are French Jet (glass) decorations to sew on clothing.
Some of the buttons could be Bohemian glass.
I don't think the glass thing is an eye bath, since the top is straight.:pompous:

The box looks like a candy box or bonbonniere. That plastic lining is fairly typical.
