Nicole (?) studio vase

At a recent auction we bought several pieces of interesting pottery including an anti slavery jug, a della robbia charger, a clews & co chameleon ware vase and an 1847 Naomi and her daughters in law jug. As most of the auction was from a single house clearance we are keen not to miss any other pottery gems and we have three pieces that we would like help with.

This is the third vase, just 5.25" tall, signed.

IF the sig. is Nicole, we cant find a "Nicole" potter with that style

I found another with this mark on ebay France--Rene Nicole.

 

Thank you Janet, he appears to have been active early 20th century in Ferney Voltaire (if I have understood the French correctly!)

You have confirmed my suspicion that there was some interesting pottery at the auction!
