I thought Nippon had to be marked Nippon (as opposed to Japan)?
At least, that's what Nippon collectors say. 1891-1921.

    Cute cat!

Japanese ceramics were marked "Nippon" (for import to US) from 1891-1921. After 1921 they had to be marked "Japan," so your cat is after 1921. That identifies the country of origin. The "Nippon" in "Nippon Yoko Bokei Co." looks like it is part of the name of the company, not there to identify the country of origin. "Japan" (English translation of "Nippon") is the country of origin on your mark. So, your cat is post-1921.
