Featured Nippon Condiment Server

This must be something my mom acquired. It been around since I can remember. The pot is actually attached to the saucer and it has the lid and spoon. Gold clover design. It's great shape - no cracks or chips.

I tried to sell on Marketplace and Craig's List fro $20. Nothing. Dropped to $10 and still no nibbles.

 

Mom never had the bottles or jars on the table when we had guests .....

The condiments were always placed in servers like this , or fancy cut glass jars for the honey & jams..

 

I had a lot of Nippon at one time. When we moved in 1990 I got rid of several of my collections of glass and china. Still breaks my heart.

 

I only found one Nippon plate in all my days. I did buy it even tho it had a crack.
Someone did buy it.

 

The condiment set has the old Morimura /Noritake mark on it, pre-1921 but that's as far as I can get. My dad's mother loved WWI-era Japanese gilded porcelains.

 

I don't think it came with that spoon, but that shouldn't have anything to do with it.

 

If the spoon fits, wear it.
