Featured No clue what this silver-toned thingy is - do you?

    Sorry, but one more question - anyone know what this is? Someone gave it to me today simply because I was looking at it. Looks like some kind of dispenser, but what do I know? I don't think Google Images would be much help. No markings, about 4" x 4". TIA

    I think that is a strange way to "rest" your knives. How many different knives need to rest at any given time? Isn't there only one carving knife per meal(t)?
