Hi, my wife and I were gifted with the Blue Mountain Pottery Noah's Ark by Romar. We're looking at selling it but would like more information about this piece. Please contact me.

will be interesting to see it. I thought the Romar stuff was from the 1990s and the Ark series was from 1968, maybe Romar re-made the ark set?

thanks for the photo, that is a pretty neat piece. I've only seen one in person before, have come across the odd animal, but not many of those out there.
I would touch base with the BMPC, link below, they might be able to help with an idea of value. I suspect that since there aren't many around it will have a pretty good value, especially to someone that has the animals.
There was a complete set for sale in the spring (in Manitoba) for $4500, not sure if they sold it complete or pieced it out as there were lots of requests for single pieces, especially for just the ark as lots of folks have the animals.
    Good luck to you:)

I think the ark is harder to find than the figures and relatively pricey for Blue Mountain.

I only recall having one Noah's ark figurine: a rhinoceros. I hand delivered it to the buyer who took it and set it on shelf with half a dozen others the same. He seemed to have multiples of all the figures, like he was hoarding BMP Noah's Ark stuff.

I think the colours on yours is wrong to be a NA piece, the figures were done in the slate/bluish colours on a wood base. They did issue some of the same figures in different glazes.

As I recall, someone mentioned that back then: right shape, wrong color.

It was the rhino that came to mind at the mention of Noah's ark, but it's this elephant that should have:

I agree with you. I think they were likely hoping someone would be interested in buying the piece.

Hello, I also have the Ark as well as 13 of the figurines. Did you ever get any more information as to the value of the Ark? I am also interested in selling my entire collection. Thanks. JBH
