Noritake Nippon whatchamacallit?? What is it?

    This is about the size of a large sugar bowl and has a 6.5" saucer. I suspect it had a lid which is now missing. Strangely, there is a hole in the bottom for all the sugar to fall out all over your table. What is it?

    Intended to hold a can of condensed milk, the hole was for pushing the can out, and it should have a lid...
