does anyone know when this would have been made? I have five of these. Wondering if they are worth restoring. I think they are walnut underneath the stain.

Company was established in 1914, so no older than that. Styling is unusual so hard to pin down date-wise. Could see these being made any time after the company was founded to up into the 50s. Wood doesn't look like walnut. Maybe birch with a walnut stain. They appear to be well made and look like they only need a little sprucing rather than refinished. Some new upholstery might help as well.

Thank you. I will clean them up. There are a few joints that need re-glued. It should be a fun project. They were my husband’s grandparents chairs.

I have the table that goes with these chairs! It’s alder wood I think and they are from the 40’s.

Unusual to find this kind of abstracted Victorian look in chairs from the 1940s. Thanks for the pictures!

I have 4 of them (1 with arms), a 5th one slightly different, and a dining table to match the five chairs. Did anyone find anything out about these?
