Not antique but need help - Black stone? egg with dotted white lines

    Can someone help me out with what kind of material this egg might be made from & where it may have originated from? It is very cold to the touch so I am assuming it is some type of stone. :confused::confused:

    It is 2 3/8" tall so the size of a regular large chicken egg & is decorated with dotted white lines that are "nicked" into the egg so I have to assume that it is not black all the way through. :confused::confused:
