As I said I would.....here's two..( maybe) interesting cake plates...... 4 1/2 x 9 inches......... next......2 1/2 x 9 inches......heavy and thick..... & YES...the red background is for effect.......just cuz...that's why !!!!!!
for the first one confirming EAPG and 'Arched Oval' as noted in the other post. no idea on the leaves...
color preferences aside, I think any medium dark color works to reflect the pattern motifs in EAPG. I used a medium dark blue mostly but sometimes black... but this red looks good too.
You're too kind........as I rarely photo glass...I was trying a number of different backgrounds.....& I think I've settled on the blue.....as what I've used is a non reflective surface. ! BUT......the salmon color was interesting.....
Are those indentations on the FIRST one????? IF so, I'd load that puppy up with Deviled Eggs...................and then sit down and eat them all.................and probably make myself sick.....but ya just can't beat Deviled Eggs......to DIE for!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I believe the 2nd one is relatively new. I have a platter with a similar motif. I may have gotten it at Crate & Barrel. I don't know if it was sold under their label or the makers.
Mom stopped buying in the 80's......and without looking.....that does sound like they'd make a thick chunk o' glass like this !!!!
just looked back and the original post and it looks like you have a large torte plate in this pattern too.
Good eye TallCakes......I do indeed ! But the cake plate says 12 inches...and mine's only 9.....so small cakes ???
