    Hello again,
Recently I became the rightful owner of this lovely bracelt, and was sold as Notre Dame amber bracelet.
    Would you concur?
How old do you think this is?
I wonder if this is a collectable item. The metal is silver 800, not hallmarked.
    Thank you for your thoughts. Screenshot_20210612-180011_Gallery.jpg Screenshot_20210612-180002_Gallery.jpg Screenshot_20210612-175946_Gallery.jpg Screenshot_20210612-175936_Gallery.jpg

Lovely amber beads Simona, have you looked at the beads under UV light, to be sure?:) I am pretty sure they are amber.

It says N DE D. I don't know what the DE stands for, but 'Notre de Dame' sounds a bit silly, in English 'Our of Lady'.

Yes I have looked in the UV light, and they are shining towards greenish.
I also was able to make up two hallmarks, does VI, for number 6, and a lion pictorial say something?

Notre-Dame de Paris, can it be the "de" , but where is Paris? :)

    Greenish is good.:)
That doesn't make sense to me. And then there is the other shape in the centre, which looks like it could also be a letter.

Could/would you post an in focus, close-up photograph of the marks?

Mystery solved. From her sanctuary, according to the internet.

    N(otre) D(ame) de L(ourdes)

The L is mis-read as an anchor which is why the crest is mistakenly given a military provenance.

I have been to Lourdes (good Catholic:angelic:), but hadn't a clue (not a good Catholic:joyful:).
I have a similar style French necklace, with local garnets and selenite beads, which I guess is 1880ish.

I am wondering if this would be considered a rosary bracelet? The beads lead me to think it might be as there is a separate bead for the Our Father, then the 10 beads for the Hail Mary & then a separate bead for the Glory Be. Also, I would think this would be something that would be appropriate to commemorate a trip to Notre Dame.

Aww, thank you for the amazing:kiss::joyful:, you're another, AJ!
Agree with 1880, and glad you found out it is indeed Notre Dame de Lourdes:)
Yep, we call these "dizainier", used as you explained:)
