    Long story short,

Just cleared a home of an old lady, her husband died 10 years ago aged 86, he was a Canadian serviceman in 1943 and obviously emigrated to the UK after WWII.

I found a photograph album which the family discarded.

Many many photos of his service in Canada featuring Vancouver, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and fraternizing with the enemy (females) in Germany after 1945.

All the photos have annotations next to them in the album apart from these four.

I will post the others which are very interesting in the next few days.

    These measure 6" x "8

    As per title NYC ?

Yes that is the Empire State Building in the last 3 pics. Can't say for sure whether the first is also NYC, could be, but not for sure. Maybe someone else will know.

The last one, of course, is the New York City piers as seen from New Jersey.

    LOL
It seems this guy had a lot more fun during WWII than my Dad did.

However my Dad did enjoy his time fighting and did not suffer any ill effects.

    Canadian Man WWII.
Hey, I'm not knocking him, the guy had a camera and was making the best out of a bad job.

    Cutting a Rug ,

To dance, especially in a vigorous manner and in one of the dance styles of the first half of the twentieth century.

Some of these pictured could be parents or grandparents to some members or visitors on our site

Thankfully members of my family don't have big sticky out lugs and don't parade about with their hands in their pockets.:D
