Crefelder Metallwaren-Fabrik Bitter & Gobbers GmbH was a short-lived company from appr. 1900 to 1910 that also produced and stamped Imperial Zinn.
I wonder if they also produced for other companies abroad because those two boxes don't look German at all but rather arts & crafts in the style of Tudric, Knox etc..
taller one is 20 cm in height.
not sure if the glass stones are original or a later addendum by a "tinker".
    all ideas welcome.
    TIA.

Unfamiliar with the name, but they have a jugendstil/secessionist look to me.

I admit to seeing similarities between German/Austrian art nouveau and Scottish.

crazy, isn't it. the more you search around the more you see lovely appealing things.
especially their candelabra are well known and sought after on the continent. classes better than WMF, Kayserzinn etc..

Hello, I guess I do not completely understand the B & G part. Is it on the item itself? All I find is Archibald Knox, Imperial design. Bringing up this mans name with Imperial brings up so many items. I would love to know. They are beautiful.

bitter & gobbers was the original name of the metal factory; lateron it changed its name to "Imperial Zinn" because Zinn = Pewter was the big thing in the Jugendstil era.

Nice stuff! Would think the Imperial Zinn mark to be for export. No reason to think the cabachons not to be original. Found this piece of the same ilk by them with some.

no special mark for export. when you look at the pic I put you see that it has both in a crowned crest. Imperial Zinn certainly influenced because Germany were still a Kaiserreich.
