Odd colorful peacock pottery pitcher

Not a masterpiece in form - but quirky, leafy, peacocky, colorful, and has a tiny bonus birdie on the rim to boot. Also has some embossed decoration on the inside. About 6" high. About 8 inches wide from spot to tip of handle. Has some more odd markings on the base - I'm assuming the potter's studio marks - or maybe just a high school art class project- who knows - I like it though. I don't expect to find the maker on this just thought I'd share but if anyone has any ideas I'll take'em.

Yeah I'm still figuring out the bottom - I see some sets of "three suns" another sun/star like mark - some different bugs - maybe a bird - I don't see the mouse or elephant yet.

Mouse is at 11:00, elephant at 10:00. Both upside down.

 

I agree, student or studio work. The pitcher appears to have been formed from a slab of clay. My SWAG is that the slab was either rolled over a mold or perhaps found items then formed into the form, handle and bird added. I'm not sure the marks on the bottom are marks.

I like the colors and design. Neat piece.
