I'm trying to figure out what this item is. It looks like it belongs with the Metlox poppytrail homestead provincial collection, but has no stamp of any kind. Thanks

    A faux clock?
    Why would anyone.... :wideyed:
I don't know about this item.
You should probably shoot the back too for sometimes those in the know can learn something about what appears to be nothing. :)

See. The way that's mounted could be important.
The company may have made other things and used the same system and someone having such a thing could identify the manufacturer. :)

Is the bottom of the planter signed?
    Looks like 1940s-50s California pottery.

    Hanging planter as stated.

It's a little small for that. Hanging mail holder, more likely. It's too short for fireplace matches and a little shrimpy for a live plant. OTOH plastic plants were a "thing" when this looks to have been made, so it could technically be a plant holder. It would be a good place to hide a spare set of car keys, if you're so inclined. Just put the plastic plant in on top.

I'd say planter too, I've got one that isn't that big with the lyre style steel wire, the planter itself is maybe 2" tall and half circle shape. I'd also guess a California pottery company made it. Lots of times they aren't marked. Nice 50's or so piece.
