Featured Odd skew little pot- but interesting

Hi all,so I found this little interesting pot. I was wondering is this someone’s amateur attempt to copy something or be creative? Or is it something else/more? It’s 15cm tall and 14cm wide (in middle)

Looks like Shipibo pottery, from the Amazon part of Peru. This one is pretty off-kilter though.

 

Very interesting. Thank you for the comment. I searched Shipibo pottery and yes similar.. So off-kilter it looks like a “first attempt’

 

Maybe the figured off-kilter made it look more primitive and of more appeal to tourists?

The book by Mary Garston arrived a couple of days. Great book, thanks for recommending it.

 

It does look to have a bit of age? Maybe halfway to being vintage?

 

It wasn't me; I know not much about pottery, certainly not enough to recommend books.
