Oil lamp pattern age help

    While the font on this lamp is quite plain, the base is unique. Overall the lamp is quite pretty with just a touch of amethyst.
    Was hoping to learn the pattern and approx. age.
    Lamp is 8 1/2 inches from the base to the top of the collar. Has an eagle burner that will take a 2/12 inch chimney and takes a small wick.
    Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.

    you're right...the base is very tasty with strong lines......altogether nice !

    I have a few like that with the pressed on collar. I haven't dealt in oil lamps in a few years but if my memory is correct I think you may date that from circa 1900 - 1920.

    My mind was wrapped more like 1880 to 1900, but what's 20 years!!!! I like its simplicity!!:):)
