Oil on board,any thoughts ?

    Hi all. Picked up this little 12x16 in oil on board. The back looks 50s-60s to me,and for the life of me I cant make out the first name of the artist ! I took a zillion pics trying to convey the energy and the lush color. I appreciate any and all input on it,good,bad or ugly ! The brushwork is so thick,I just love it !     I agree back is pre 1963 - no zip code.

    I see last name Cross. Particularly on the label.
    Not my favorite piece of art.

    I love the thick brushwork too! The colors are very compelling. This is the sort of painting that "makes a statement" and is a "pretty picture" - although it may not appeal to everyone's taste. Done by a young "Michelle Cross" in the 1960s.

    Thanks everyone. Still haven't located her,I agree its not for everyones taste but it really has to be seen in person to appreciate. Its LOUD. :)
