Oil Painting Signed Edith Franklin 69

I found that there was a famous Toledo potter by that name. If not wrong she was doing other kind of art besides pottery as well but I cannot find any examples of paintings of hers (if she ever did any). Of course there are hundreds of other people by that name. And I doubt the location can be ID'd.

 

I was unable to find her, either. However, I would have picked this up in a heartbeat...love it. This should sell well even if she isn't a listed artist. Key words i would use...Abstract Industrialism

 

I also think this one has some promise despite being by an unknown. I don't think you'll get rich with it but should make a little on it.

 

Why not shoot off an email to that gallery that handles her work and see if they can tell you anything ? Call me crazy,but the lines of her pottery echo those of this painting,in feeling . Her work is fantastic and Im glad this thread introduced me to her even if she didn't do this painting. Also,Id have SO bought that one too,love it !

 

I may open the back to see if there is some additional info.
What gallery is handling her works?
The back panel reads' Ms Franklin'. I guess whoever wrote it did not know her status?
