Old Asian? impressionist signed oil painting

Bought this a while ago with some Chinese and Japanese items from a ex collector of Asian items. Bought it with a bunch of other Asian related items. The canvas is older than the stretcher. You can see that it is restreched on a other more modern stretcher and stabled together with size marks in cm. You can still see the old rusty nail holes in the canvas when it use to sit on its old stretcher.

Because it came from a Asian related collection, I think it could also be Asian but can be mistaken. But I have difficulties reading the signature.

Any info/input is welcome.

That was my first impression also, but because of the items it came with I had to get second opinions to exclude that. It must be from a rainy country because of the roof. The white cow in front seems like it has horns. That was one of my reasons I thought it could be Asian. Any guesses?

 

Looking at the perspective, if that’s person at the back then the cows look a bit small. Could they be goats?
