We were walking through the woods following a dried up creek and found what looks like an old axe head and maybe a hoe? The axe has an E initial. Could anyone tell me more about it? I’m assuming it must have been farmland at one point, so I’m really curious if there’d be any history behind it!

    Looks like E. G. (or C)
Not so sure it is an axe head. Looks more like a blade (plow?)
See the curve? An axe wouldn't have that.

Welcome, Minnow. It might help someone find more about it if you at least tell us what country you found it in.

Oh that’s true! I was thinking an axe from just the general shape but now that I compare it to other pictures you could be right

This is in the United States, Pennsylvania. If it helps I did some more research of the area, it was farmland bought by the railroad companies during WW2, and was later converted into hiking trails.
