Old Crock

I gather it's a bee sting crock but otherwise don't know much. Ebay values are all over the board.....how do you tell age, salt glazed(?), etc? Thanks!

    I know just enough about stoneware to be dangerous. "Rib Cage" design.

    People coming along will want to know the dimensions. [also, please edit your post and select the Full-size image option]

    I found one that looks similar, but the link doesn't go to a page with info. So, here's the pic:

    I thought this was called "Bee Sting" or something like that.

    Is that a 3 for 3 gallons?

    The overall design is Bee Sting, but there are a few subsets of patterns:
