Old dagger found

    Hi, i purchased this today, i think it's very old dagger but No idea from where country and age exactly! I cleanit because i found it very dirty.

    Can anyone please help me to identify it?

    Leather and "plastic" handle... possibly WW2 era and not real old.

    Usually not plastic - more likely to be horn?

    Don't think so, but we'll never know from just photos:wideyed: Maybe you are right but I'll stick with horn!:oldman:

    I'd think milled brass, leather and bone....the blade looks similar to a French fighting dagger....but the handle looks theater made .... WW2 style.
    It's also possible ....see the shape of this handle...

    to be a Fairbairn Sykes variety...
    and it could even have been custom made......
    'it's always a bonus to identify the blade'...cuz it gives a starting point for the millions of WW@ ear daggers made..

    Very similar to a knife my dad made in shop class in the 40s. His was, indeed, Lucite but could see this being horn as well.

    I have no idea, my father is a blacksmith and makes daggers, i can say at least it's not NORTH AFRICAN, I can confirm that.
