Hi! My in-laws are moving to a retirement village apartment so we are decluttering their house and will be selling things. They have this old drawing cabinet and I was hoping someone could help identify the manufacturer. No obvious markings in the drawers and I am not able to pull it out to look at the back or under it. I listed it on a social media marketplace for $30, and got literally 20+ responses in and hour, so it seems to be worth more than that! Thank You!

Doesn't really matter who made it. Fairly desireable to some. Great for collectors of paper. Up to $300.00 at retail here in the Midwest, though half that would probably be more realistic. Either way, probably needs some cleaning/finish work to get the best money. Might do better in or near a large city. Less in middle America Podunkville.

I did a bit of research, first with US Markerboard. They suggested this piece was made by Diversified Woodcrafts, Inc. (DWI). I reached out to DWI. Their Engineers reviewed the image, and suggest it was built by Shain Shop-Bilt, Inc., possibly the T-1000 model Taberet. This is where I have hit a brick wall.

It seems DWI acquired Shain Shop-Bilt, Inc. sometime in the mid to late 2000s, but I can't find any documentation to definitively support this.

Looking for any solid documentation or link as to the history of Shain Shop-Bilt, Inc., and anything that could further nail down a year or range of years this was built.

    Thanks!
