Looks more like mid-20th century than mid-19th. Larger and more complete pictures could change that opinion.

I'd think ca. 1890 U.S. walnut. Your family may have purchased this some decades after they moved here in the mid-19th century, but it does not date back that far and is in my estimation American. The sausage marble, for example, may be from Tennessee. It does look like someone has taken care to repair the piece at some time in the past, and in some of the photos it's difficult to tell what's what. If you see nail holes on the upper back then the dresser may have had a mirror.

Agree with Ghopper completely. Would have had a mirror and I think the drawer pulls a bit plain for this, so perhaps an old replacement. Would think it should look more like this.

Wow great information, yes my dad told me that it had a mirror at one point.
I understand stories can get misunderstood and details change over the course of a 100+ years , I knew the mirror was missing, kinda disappointed about the draw pullers though, the screws do look more modern then the dresser now that you mention it, but it’s nice to know it’s true age and conditions, do you think it’s worth anything?

I already know it worth more to me, then an Actual price some with no sentiment towards it would pay

yes I would have mentioned it I knew it did have a mirror, but I guess that’s always been an after thought to me because I never knew it as having one after 30+ years, it just slipped my mind, sorry about the missing detail bud

Value is dependent on where and how sold. Here in my semi-rural Midwest location, we would be under $200.00 at retail. Less at auction or other wholesale venue. You might do better in or near a large city.
